Bryant Wise

Well, today we embarked on our first big stroll around the neighborhood. Of course we have been taking little strolls in front of the house to help Raughley get some good sunshine(he was a little jaundiced at birth), but today the three of us got to go. By the three of us, I mean of course our beloved, gassy black and tan coon hound Bryant. We adopted Bryant about 10 days after we got married, and he weighed 30 pounds and had been abandoned in a South Florida shelter. The AKC website told us that black and tans are great pets, loving, loyal and affectionate, but that their only downside is their abundance of gas. I'm not kidding. He is one big gas station and can clear a room in seconds. But we love him any way, all 80 pounds of him. He is adapting really well to Raughley, despite the fact that he has been the center of attention for the past two years. Her are some pictures from the past 2 years for you to get a good idea of his personality.

He's Here!

Little Raughley has finally entered the wide world! He was born on Tuesday night, April 14th, at 9:18 pm and weighed 7 lbs. He was 19.5 inches long. We were able to come home Thursday morning and have been having a ball ever since! His first doctor visit was today, and everything looks great! He is no longer jaundiced, and is almost back up to his birth weight. The doctor even gave us the okay to go to the beach in a few weeks! Here are a few pics of the little one.
