Winter Storm Leon

This winter storm seems appropriately named for our family, because when Liam is terrorizing the house, dog, or his brother, we call him "Leon."  And terrorize is what this storm did to the 'Ham.  2 inches of snow polarized us all for 2 going on 3 days.

Raughley was not amused that the snow would not produce a snowman, due to it being so fluffy and dry.  So we made one out of felt instead.

Sledding was fun, for about 5 minutes, as the high was 24, (felt like 7- yikes)

But these two loved it all, and Liam did not want to go inside.

We even found evidence of little creatures scampering around- I think this is a rabbit?

It was nice to get inside and stay warm, and the boys spent most of their days in these sleeping bags.

It really was beautiful, but unfortunately, a disaster for so many stranded in their vehicles, walking home.  Including Chase, for whom it took 4 hours to get home from work, ending with him walking the last 1/2 mile from the high school.

We could have had it worse, so we feel very lucky to be trapped in our house for a few days, spending good time together.

This guy ran away to go sniff trash cans, but Chase found him up the street.

Chase made colored snow ice cream as well- no yellow food coloring for us though!

What an adventure!

Personalities

Used to be, about once a month or so I would have an impromptu "photo shoot" with my boys.

It was a great way to get pics for family, gifts, frames around the house, not to mention just documenting their growth and personalities.
Loved getting pics of sweet little guy playing with his trucks and cars, even though he didn't want to give me any of his famous "cheeses".  If anything shows his personality, the picture above does.

And personalities came out this time around.  I don't think  got one "posed" shot of them the whole 30 minutes of effort.  Which is to be expected from the two year old, but this upcoming montage was quite to my surprise.  I know I will love seeing his funny four year old disposition coming out as I look back on these pictures.

What a ham!

Maybe next time I'll get a few shots of the two of them with decent expressions, but for now, enjoy this gem.
