We had a sprinkle for Kristin to celebrate baby boy number two! Lunch was at Cocina Superiour, a favorite of ours, and we had such a great time celebrating with her! Can't wait for Baby William to get here!

D.I.Y.
It has been a long time project of mine to recover our dining room chairs.
I am not a DIY person, you could maybe call me crafty, but I usually get too impatient to complete a job the right way. So the fact that I did this myself is huge! Unscrewing the previous chair bottoms,
Finding and choosing the fabrics (choosing being the operative word)
Purchasing and using the staple gun, measuring the fabric, the job was big, but I am proud to say I tackled it!
And finally, after screwing all eight pieces back onto their frames...
Viola! New upholstery!
The room looks so bright and cheery with all the sunshiny yellow! I will have to take the two main chairs to be done by a professional, but I'm pretty proud to have done most of the work myself!
And, the good news is I used half the fabric I intended to, so if little hands spill and dirty, we can always replace!

The Alabama Theatre
Chase and I went to a Red Mountain Theatre Company fundraiser last Thursday night on the rooftop of the Kress Building downtown.
We had a great panoramic view of downtown B'ham, and I couldn't resist taking a few pics of the old Lady!
It really is an incredible building isn't it?

Play Date
Raughley had a date with a very cute girl yesterday
They were hesitant at first
Checking each other out
Taking it all in
But then a song and dance brought them together
They played, chatted, shared toys so well!
And hugged!
What a sweetie! Come back any time little C!

We're all kids at heart.
There's nothing like a turn on the playground to bring out your inner child.
To get you out of your daily grind and into the arena of freedom and fearlessness.
Where else could you see a grandparent kick back and let loose?
You can't help but let out a big grin.
Is it chuckie cheese, where a kid can be a kid?
I think not. It's a place you can find right near your own back yard.
So play away!
