Lunch with Santa and R's Christmas Pageant

Sitting in Santa's lap went remarkably well this year.  No one cried, although Liam had this look on his face like, "What have you done to me?"

Raughley answered all of Santa's questions, including that he and Liam had been VERY good, and that he wanted an electric torpedo ray, a remote control dust crop hopper, and a lightning mcqueen bike.

Liam wants Beep Beeps.

Earlier in the week we had R's school pageant, where he appropriately was cast as a Wise Man.  He was so proud, even though his crown kept slipping off his head and his pants kept falling down.  Poor guy!

Here he is with his buddies Emmet and Walker.  The 3 Wise men.

He had a great crowd present and was so excited to have his family there!  Go R we are so proud of you!

December so far, and a Liam update

I haven't done a Liam update in a while, and since he's almost 2 I thought I ought to get going so he doesn't feel so left out.

He's cutting all 4 molars right now, so nights have not been the greatest, but I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  He is so funny, and makes these facial expressions that say 1,000 words and make you wish you were inside his head for just a minute.  He'll cut his eyes at you and roll down to the ground when he's pouting, which I guess is better than the screaming tantrum- which we get every once in a while as well.

He's picking up new words every day… today was "people" and naming all the parts of his face- nose, eye, mouth, and ear.

He can say the following words:
Mommy, daddy, Rawey (Raughley), baby, Bo, Giddy, Pop, Nay Nay (May May), Wee Wee, Pat Pat, Winnie, kiyyee Kat, Bye Bye, good, I okay, Mine (lovely word), beep beep, which is his favorite, choo choo, dog, hi dog, mommy's here, more (mowah) kiss, and the list goes on daily.

His eating habits haven't slowed down a bit, although he's getting pickier as he sees what Raughley will and won't eat.  He loves Nemo and Minnie Mouse, who he calls Ninnie, and plays with cars all day long.

We love you little Liam so much!

On to December:
This first weekend we headed to Mississippi to visit Pay Pay!  The boys had more fun playing with their cousin, and it made me so happy that we took the time to go visit.

Love the obligatory bath pic.

Raughley had more fun playing with Paylor than Liam, which I thought was interesting.  He spent most of the time giving her makeovers with a comb and mirror.

When we got home we headed straight for a gingerbread making party, and then got home to see Bryant.  Liam was so excited to see his bud!

How cute is this!  Raughley loves Katherine.

Cute Christmas tree pictures are getting really hard as these two will not stand still for the obligatory 2 seconds it takes to get a good pic.  I'm loving Raughley hamming it up for the photo though.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This was our year to celebrate Thanksgiving in Boca with the Wise's.  We had a ball, despite the windy weather.  Raughley decorated the table with his latest Kiwi Crate creations, and added some local kumquats he had picked as extra.

We got a few hours out in the sand, mostly digging with dump trucks and "Beep Beeps" as Liam calls them.  "Wovey" had to be present almost always, and as a result Liam looks like Linus a lot of the time.

Raughley took the following 5 photos, doing a pretty good job I think.  He's working really hard on holding the camera right.

Then I took a couple of him goofing around.

Finally it was time for the big meal, and Raughley got to do what he had been asking about since watching Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving- pull the wishbone!

He won!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Wise Family!!
