Stock The Bar

This post is packed with pics, just to let you know.

William and Frances Ellen had their Stock the Bar/Kitchen Shower this weekend, hosted by all of their friends.

It was really fun to get to be with the girls and guys that I know from high school and college, and meet newer friends of theirs as well!

They got a lot of amazing gifts, and will certainly be putting them to use sooner than later Im sure ;)

William and his buds

Our family got to go to the party also.

Chase made it back from the hunting camp for the affair!

William's buddy Brian, whom Chase has adopted, or he adopted Chase, not sure how that worked out.

We had cousins and friends alike

And a great spread of food.

What is this bowl of deliciousness you ask?  Cherry Bombs, you can't eat just one!

I took lots of family shots

And got to be in a few as well, thanks to a very enthusiastic Baldwin

Then, we gathered to watch them open gifts.

The Bride and Groom ready to open,

What do we have here?

The whole party...  I had to hold the camera over my head and therefore it would not be still enough to capture a non-blurry pic.  This is where a tripod would come in handy?

Great shot of the Bride!

The doggies seem to play some role in each event we have...  Here they pop up on coasters!

Of course, the night would not be complete without a little "Ice Ice Baby"

Mom and Dad

We took some massive group pics.

The Bride and her MOH"s

Sisters, Sisters,

Love the obligatory family pic, a must have at all parties.  It's hard to believe the wedding is only 6 weeks away!!!

Deathly Hallows

We celebrated Jeris' birthday Friday night with Hibachi and Hogwarts.  A yummy dinner at Mt. Fuji in Lee Branch was followed by a viewing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!  I can't begin to tell you how much I loved the movie, and want to see it again as soon as possible.   Here are a few pics from the dinner:

A member of the D.A. was present,

As well as Hedwig

And a Death Eater!

Super Scary!

Matt and Jordan, but I never got a picture with the Birthday Girl!
Happy Birthday Jeri!

Grateful

I know that during the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving you are supposed to think about things you are thankful for, but for some reason I just keep thinking about how grateful I am for the things that have been given to me in this life by God.  That's sort of the same thing, you say?  Well, for some reason, it feels different.  I am so grateful that my family is healthy and all live relatively close to me.  I am so grateful for my in-laws (all of them), who are the best of their kind, and have always made me feel like a part of their family, not an outsider who married in.  I am so grateful to be healthy, happy and have a life full of wonderful friends and family, who I love so much.  And lastly, (and mostly, sorry everyone else)  I am eternally grateful to have Chase in my life, that he wanted to spend his life with me, and for our wonderful little boy, the most precious gift I have ever been given.  Who couldn't just love and adore this little mess?

The Countdown Begins....

Three days people.  Until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.  I can't wait!  And guess who is already a fan?  That's right...
The truth is that I am rereading it and he decided to copy me, stole the book from my hands, carried it to his chair, and attempted to read it himself.

But, in honor of this great occasion, enjoy Harry Potter themed music on the blog, and a few pics from the movie..

Coo-kie!

In honor of Raughley adding another word to his vocabulary, we decided to make cookies today.
It all starts with just a little flour...

and a bit of elbow grease,

Don't forget to keep a smile on your face, even when the dough falls apart

and with a dash of laughter...

Viola! You've made cookies!  Here's to having fun on a rainy day.
