The vacay continues with the first dressing in the ski clothes. Of course on day one we wore too much. Talk about Roasting!
After one run down the slopes we were sweating already. Our guide, Palmer led the way. Thank goodness he took us on day one, because I would not have had the courage to go down those blues with out the pressure of someone unknown waiting on me at the bottom of the hill.
The views from the gondola were breathtaking, you could see the whole valley.
From the gondola you ski down to the smaller chair lifts and head up into higher territory.
I can't believe my fear of heights never really kicked in- could I be outgrowing it?
The gondola definitely gives you some time for sight seeing and picking out dream houses from above.
This one in particular straight in front is under construction, but worth only a meager 3 million.
After a long first day it was nice to be back in the condo relaxing.
Raughley though it really wasn't fair that we all got to have fun but him, so he wanted to give skiing a try as well.
But it turns out snuggling with mommy and girlfriend is much more fun.
As night fell, we attempted a walk down to slopeside grill, but ended up being picked up by the shuttle. The walk would have been three and a half miles long!
Thankfully the shuttle came by.
A beautiful day in Colorado complete, we crashed around 8 for a long winter's nap.
