Independence
Someone has to do everything by himself lately, like pushing the stroller (above) and changing the channel (below).

Countdown to Birthday number one!

I really cannot believe it, but this time next week our little munchkin will be one year old! This time last year I was nesting (color coordinating chases clothes in the closet) working in the yard (a pregnancy obsession I kept after the pregnancy) and walking walking walking!!! Having Easter and the Masters on this week brings back memories of being immense, and lying around waiting for the big moment to come. How blessed Chase and I are to have this little precious pot in our lives for a whole year! God is good!
Here is a snapshot of life before the little Ruaghlster, life once he arrived, and life now! (Feel very honored that I am letting you see pics of me this time last year, its only for Raughley to see one day I assure you :)
This Saturday Chase and I are helping host a baby shower at our house for Adam and Emily , after which I will be in party planning mode for the big birthday bash! The theme is Winnie the Pooh, and I already have the invitations done and have completed his birthday outfit as well. Pictures coming soon!!

Two Special Birthdays
Happy Happy Birthday to Uncle Carl and Grandaddy Howard! Carl's Birthday is today, the 6th, and Howard's is the 7th. We hope you both have a wonderful day! We love you and you are the best Uncles/brothers, Dads/Grandad's anyone could have!
Easter Sunday!
Raughley's first Easter has come and gone, and I will say it was my favorite holiday spent with him yet.
First of all, it was laid back, a day spent at the farm,
dogs swimming in the lake,
Raughley wasn't too overwhelmed, (which happened at Christmas)
Just the fam, although we really missed Uncle Carl!!!
He was big enough to participate in the holiday's events,
and even got to try his first taste of cake!
hmmm....
I think he likes it!
A little Lucy riding never hurt anyone!
What a ham in the radio flyer!
We even had an impromptu egg toss!
Check out that form!
Lampshade is still with us, hopefully he won't be beaming up to space this time tomorrow- we go to the vet for his checkup.
Of course, there was family photo time involved.
The Morris'
The Wise's minus Uncle Carl- we'll see him in 10 days though for the big birthday extravanganza!

Yay for Spring!
Now that Spring is finally here we have been busy busy bees at the Wise household. I have a million cute Easter pics that I will post later, but first I wanted to do a little catch up.
R has been such a sweet little brother to Bryant who is still mending from his run in with the fence last weekend.
He is also loving his new shopping cart lended to him by Mary Linder- Thanks Mary Linder for this fun and educational toy!
So, if you turn the lens to wide angle and get really close, you get this funny looking perspective of your subject matter. Bear with me, Im a newbie at photography, and it's fun to experiment.
The cherry tree in our yard bloomed! For a brief shining moment the yard looked like it had snowed. I had to pick some blooms for my house. Lesson learned however, cherry blossoms stink if not kept in water.
Last week Uncle William finally got his trip to the zoo with his nephew. We had a blast. The kanga's are still a fav with the little man.
But by the time we made it too the train, he had had enough. However, once that engine fired up he was mesmerized. The kid is in love with all things on wheels.
Exhausted after a fun day at the zoo.
What else have we been up to? Riding four wheelers,
playing in the back yard
Hanging out with old friends who come in town for Easter,
dying Easter eggs
And sleeping soundly... yay for Spring!

Story time!
We have officially graduated to Tuesday's story time at the library, and it is so much fun! We get to go with Liz, David and Evie, and then the 7 of us go eat at Otey's afterwards. That's right, the babies outnumber the grownups- it's a trip. Anyway, I am loving my new Tuesday routine- it's a much needed time in my week with adults and babies alike.
This video shows R getting his groove on to the Bunny Hop- Maybe he's got a little Hugh Hefner inside of him (on second thought let's hope not)
