Deathly Hallows

We celebrated Jeris' birthday Friday night with Hibachi and Hogwarts.  A yummy dinner at Mt. Fuji in Lee Branch was followed by a viewing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!  I can't begin to tell you how much I loved the movie, and want to see it again as soon as possible.   Here are a few pics from the dinner:

A member of the D.A. was present,

As well as Hedwig

And a Death Eater!

Super Scary!

Matt and Jordan, but I never got a picture with the Birthday Girl!
Happy Birthday Jeri!

Grateful

I know that during the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving you are supposed to think about things you are thankful for, but for some reason I just keep thinking about how grateful I am for the things that have been given to me in this life by God.  That's sort of the same thing, you say?  Well, for some reason, it feels different.  I am so grateful that my family is healthy and all live relatively close to me.  I am so grateful for my in-laws (all of them), who are the best of their kind, and have always made me feel like a part of their family, not an outsider who married in.  I am so grateful to be healthy, happy and have a life full of wonderful friends and family, who I love so much.  And lastly, (and mostly, sorry everyone else)  I am eternally grateful to have Chase in my life, that he wanted to spend his life with me, and for our wonderful little boy, the most precious gift I have ever been given.  Who couldn't just love and adore this little mess?

The Countdown Begins....

Three days people.  Until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.  I can't wait!  And guess who is already a fan?  That's right...
The truth is that I am rereading it and he decided to copy me, stole the book from my hands, carried it to his chair, and attempted to read it himself.

But, in honor of this great occasion, enjoy Harry Potter themed music on the blog, and a few pics from the movie..

Coo-kie!

In honor of Raughley adding another word to his vocabulary, we decided to make cookies today.
It all starts with just a little flour...

and a bit of elbow grease,

Don't forget to keep a smile on your face, even when the dough falls apart

and with a dash of laughter...

Viola! You've made cookies!  Here's to having fun on a rainy day.

Saturday Night Fever

Ready to head to T'town.  Little man didn't go this time.

It was still a family affair.  I know this shot is way overexposed, but I love how William's face is highlighted.

We had Linds and Jon Mark with us this game.

Family and friends bantered over Cam Newton and his scandals.

JC looking cute as ever.

William took these of Linds and I.

I just love them, even though I look so tired and haggard.

Whatever he was saying was making us laugh.
He has a way of doing that.
Jon Mark, Uncle Ed and Edward.

William and his buds,

The king of the tailgate, and Linds,

and Chase and I.

The game was a blast, and we were thinking of spending the night... but once my head hit my pillow I was sooo glad we headed home.  Another fun Saturday Night in Tuscaloosa!

Saluting our Veterans!

Raughley participated in his school's "Veteran's Day Parade" yesterday.  I got some cute pics of him before school wearing an outfit I made for him last year, that just now really fits him.  Thank goodness for warm weather so he could wear it!
at rest

at play

pointing to his Daddy in a picture,

so happy all day!

A post-parade cookie.
