The Tongue

I thought it deserved its own post.  

Liam. Loves. his. Tongue.  

Especially when it is covered in food.  

It must be freeing to just let it hang out like that.  

I mean, who doesn't like to stick their tongue out every once in a while?  Try it sometime- with a mouthful of food.  You'll see what I'm talking about.  

catching up

Sorry I've been MIA the past week.  We were out of town for a while- pictures to come.  

Meanwhile, these were a few from before we left, when little buddy turned 4 months old!  

Raughley has been a great helper, practicing on his Cabbage Patch Kid.  He feeds him, 

burps him, 

and then gives a big hug when he's done.  

Liam has been practicing his spoon feeding.  He mainly loves to put his hands in his full of rice cereal mouth.  Yum Yum!

Here is the beginning of a beautiful friendship with his tongue.  Watch for the tongue to make some major appearances in the next couple of posts.

But here is his, looking like his daddy's twin, all smiles and giggles!

Mix Match

Uncle William and Aunt Frances Ellen gave Liam this cute blue gingham bubble with his name monogramed on it, and what luck was it that Raughley had a red jon jon with his name on it as well!

I love matching them every once in a while, and I know I can't do it much longer, so I'm taking as many pics as I can- while I still can!

And lucky for me these two love being together.

Bath Time

Liam and Raughley had their 4 month and 3 year check ups on Friday. 

Raughley is 29 pounds and 36.5 inches.  

Liam is 13.6 pounds and 26 inches.  

To do a comparison, Raughley was 12.5 pounds at his 4 month check up.  

Liam will start eating rice cereal 2 times a day along with his 4 bottles.  After he adjusts to eating with a spoon we will begin applesauce, carrots, peas, etc.  

The endless amount of bottle feeding has ended, we are on to phase two of eating!  I forget how much changes after the first 4 months.  The hard part is definitely over once you hit four months.  He is sleeping from around 8 or 9 until 8 each morning, and taking 3 naps a day.  He is almost sitting up by himself, and smiles, giggles and coos all day long.  Last week he found his feet, and I know it won't be long until he gets them in his mouth!
