Beginning of Thanksgiving

The only time I managed to get Raughley to wear something other than a golf shirt!

My two turkeys- except yuck for that sunflare on R's face!

We had a Thanksgiving feast at Raughley's school that Chase and I got to attend.

And back in the golf shirt.  But I had to get a picture of our house decorated for Thanksgiving- next year we'll be at a new house!

Beautiful Fall

Veteran's Day Parade

I love the Veteran's Day Parade at Raughley's school each year.  Even though it last about 5 minutes, and includes one march around the parking lot, with the babies being pushed in the bye bye buggy, it is full of happy kids waving flags, proud veterans marching in the front, and music.  This year they recited the pledge and sang "God Bless America."  It was a proud moment for me and all the other moms present.  Afterwards of course they celebrated with iced donuts. I think my love for this holiday stems from the 5th grade recital at Crestline where we sang "Step in Time", which we worked on with Mrs. Odam for what seemed like MONTHS, and then both of my grandfathers came to the presentation and sat with their respective branches, Papa in the Army, Pop in the Marines.  I had a solo and didn't faint (which happened often at school recitals) and was very proud of the whole day.  It's funny which memories stick out from childhood.  This one is pretty strong for me.  Maybe it will be for R one day too? Happy Veteran's Day!

Caught!

Now that he's ten months old, he's decided to forgo people food for something so much better.  And nothing can keep him away from this goodness.

Baptism Pictures

Raughley was a ham during the ceremony.  He waved to everyone when he was up front on the alter, and gave them all a thumbs up towards the end.

Both boys did great, and Liam hardly cried when it was his turn to be baptized.

The ceremony was beautiful, the luncheon went well, and everyone had a great time.  The boys even posed for some pictures.

Then Liam needed a snack.

And towards the end of the day he was not so excited about taking pictures, but we managed a few with his grandparents and great grandmother before he totally melted down.

Dad contemplating the day I guess, either that or wondering when he gets to get out of here.

And it wouldn't be a family function without some shenanigans.
