Fun Friday

This weeks Fun Friday started with a Bridesmaids luncheon for Suelin at Chez Lulu!

What a fun day, which ended with a fun rehearsal dinner at VCC, where of course I forgot to take pics... more to come!

Fire trucks and Baby Showers

Sunday was a full day in the Wise's World.  It all started with a Baby Shower for Ellen (which I got no pictures of, unfortunately), and ended with a Birthday party for David Estess at the Overton Road Fire Station!  What a treat for a little boy who is slowly showing interest and understanding when it comes to cars and trucks and things that go.  

Yes, I know this is blurry,  but I thought it was such a sweet face that I had to post!

The kids formed a line and walked through the fire station, viewing the firemen's sleeping quarters and living space.  The toddlers were clueless as the fire chief spoke about fire safety and having a family plan,  but the adults got something out of it for sure.  

Someone came alive outside by the big red engine, running around making me chase him up and down the lot.

 Listening to the fire chief.  My heart gave a little pang watching him stand with other pals and be such a big boy.

His best pal, Wyatt.  

The buds got to sit in the truck together and pose for picks.  They were awed and overwhelmed.

What a cute party favor!  He loved this hat and makes me and his Daddy put it on!

After eating his own cookie cake, he reached over and plucked Wyatt's off his plate.  Before I could say anything it was gone.  Don't worry, Wyatt had another piece!

Gator Stew!

Another Tailgate, Another Game

With Gator Stew to help put Florida to shame! 

"I made it myself, mom!" (With help from Aunt Lulu)

 and a little muscle man face will help to set the mood! 

Let's show some intensity! he says with a smile,

The day was long and hot, 

 We were there for a while.  

But we cheered on the team, 

and practiced some golf.  

Then played with some friends who came by, then were off!

What's the elephant say?  Why he holds up his trunk!

(And speaking of trunks, this one's holding some junk :)

Say's the child who knows how to control the TV, 

And talks on the cell like he's Gordon Gecko, dear me!

 Deep down he is still just mommy's little boy

Who's tired from a day of cheering and joy.

So with a last little bit of family fun,

and enjoyed a last minute of October sun.

It was finally time to hit the road, Jack.

And I'm not sure those Gators will ever come back!

MB V Grissom

These are from last week, but better late than never to post them!

My mom's family met at the MB parking lot to tailgate for the Mountain Brook Grissom game.  My cousin Steven plays for Grissom, so we had a little rivalry going on.  

MB won, but Steven got to play a lot, and did a great job!
