Disney

So this trip to the beach and Disney happened so long ago that it feels like a different time.
Really its just that I am coming out of the fog of nausea and exhaustion and am just now feeling like talking about it.

We went with a coworker of Chase's and his family, who we have become friends with, and look how sweet their kids were to Raughley.  So precious.

Disney was an absolute blast.  I mean, an exhausting, HOT blast, but a blast indeed.

Someone spent the whole trip wide eyed with wonder.

We did the first afternoon at the Animal Kingdom, which was fun, but a lot of walking around.

We picked a good time though, going at the end of the day, when the sun was setting and there was a nice breeze.

Cameron and Carl came along and were a big help carting little man around.

The biggest attraction by far was visiting the characters.  Goofy had no wait, which was surprising as he is Chase's favorite, and R loves him too.  Look at a the smile on his face!

'You mean these guys I seen TV are actually REAL?''

Hat!

He couldn't take his eyes off the big guy.

Wow

Im really behind.  We took this trip to the Mcwane center with friends about a month ago.

It was R's first experience petting a SHARK.  I was a little frightened at first but he was so brave.  He wanted to "peh" the "Sha" over and over.  Loved it.  We went back the other day and he wouldn't touch the tank.  Funny how that works.

The next weekend we had Laura's Bachelorette Party at the Lake.  So much fun.  I haven't spent a weekend with my friends in a really long time and it was so great to get away.

Her sister planned the whole thing down to the T and did such a great job.
I wish so badly I could show all the pics, because they are sooo funny, but I just cannot.  Inappropriate is the word.  So these will have to do.  My new camera doesn't even have a flash on it, so sorry for the fuzziness.  I am still learning.  (was supposed to be taking a night and low light photo class this summer but was too sick to go.  Bummer)  The good news is the nausea is slowly fading and my energy is starting to come back.  Yay for week 13!  Ironically I still get nauseas when I think about things that I did when I was sick, like Disney World, or certain books I was reading.  Weird!

I mean, T shirts with Laura's pic on them?  Classic.

Love it.

The Reason Why I've Been So Distant...

Is seen below.

This is a six week shot of Baby Wise # 2.  Chase, Raughley and I could not be more thrilled!  However, the lovely effects of morning sickness have kept me away from the blogosphere for about 7 weeks now. It is really a not fun time, but as I near the end, I see more and more good days come and go, and I am thinking, this must be it, the end of feeling bad, and the beginning of being back to myself!!!

But, alas, there are still days where I am so tired that I can barely get out of bed, can't open my fridge for gagging, and have to turn the TV on all day so my little guy has something to do.
Those days really stink.

Last pregnancy, the whole blogging about your baby was new to me, so I didn't really partake in documenting my experience, and now I really wish I had.  To be able to go back and look at how I felt during week 11, or what I wanted to eat during week 8, would have been so helpful this go around.  So, I will try my best to do that for this baby.  Starting with the dreaded belly pic.

8 weeks, and already popping.  By this point I could barely function throughout the day, and began taking Zofran, which my new doctor let me use.  Bless her!  I switched practices to get out of the craziness that was Henderson and Walton, to somewhere much more  quiet and laid back.  And I only wait 15 minutes instead of an hour.  It's wonderful.  They give me drugs, let me have ultra sounds almost every visit, and there are WINDOWS in the waiting room.  I love it.
Sooo, when I went back for week 11's visit, and they had a hard time finding the hear beat (normal for this phase- but I did freak out a little bit)  I got to see the little guy or girl squirming around on the screen one more time!

This amazes me.  I can see lips and a nose and a forehead, plus a little belly and feet.  WOW.  Heart Rate was 170, which seems fast to me, which according to the old wive's tales, means girl.  The Chinese calendar also says I'm having a girl, so we shall see.  Of course, I have been craving salty things, which the almighty internet says I'm having a boy, but with Raughley all I wanted was cupcakes, and I had a boy.  This time I really do want pickles.... and hamburgers, and bagels with cream cheese.   Weird.  I don't remember having cravings with R, but Chase said I wanted fruit all the time.

I just feel like it's another boy, but that could be because I am having flashbacks to when I went through this with Raughley.  I will know in 4 weeks though!  My next appt is right at 15 weeks, and the Doc said I should be able to see the sex, if the baby cooperates, so I'll keep you posted.  Meanwhile, I change weeks every Wednesday, so today marks the beginning of the 12th week, and I have completed 11 weeks.  So technically I say Im 11 weeks along, but in my head I get to think 12.  It makes me feel better.  The 2nd trimester starts in 2-3 more weeks, so I hope I will get some relief by then if not before.  Then there are so many things to do!  Like:

Potty Train R,
Get him in a big boy bed,
Make him a big boy room (im thinking safari theme- he loves elephants and monkeys)
Exercise
Change up the nursery a little bit
Get a Double Stroller- yikes!
And enjoy my time with my family of three, before it all changes.

WOW< that is a lot of stuff.  Stay tuned!
And also stay tuned for pics from out trip to the Magic Kingdom!
