Surfin USA

We've had so much fun at the lake learning how to wake surf.

It's a tricky business, but so much fun once you get the hang of it.

Chase has been teaching us all how, and has gotten pretty good himself.

This Sunday of surfing followed a fantastic weekend with my college friends, of which I took no pictures. We spent all weekend lounging in the water, catching up, and sleeping in.  (thank you Chase for being Dad of the year while I was gone!!)

Anyway, Laura stayed Sunday, and Russell brought Bug up as well, what a cutie pie she is!

Love Williams face here.

Bug, not sure what to make of all this!

Love this sweet shot of Uncle Willy and RaRa, watching FrancesElly ski.

Well be back next weekend for more fun in the sun, and Raughley says he can't wait to "suuhf" too.

Uncle Pat Pat

Happy Birthday Uncle Pat Pat!  We love you and hope you have a great day!  Enjoy the big 22!

Caught Up

After weeks of being behind on the blog front, I am finally caught up.  Monday night we had dinner with your good friends Kristin and Jodi, and their kids Wyatt and William.

Props to Wyatt on being potty trained, and for sharing that with Raughley, who the next morning wanted to put on underwear just like Wyatt.
Love watching these two grow up together... what good buddies they are.

These Two...

Mutt and Jeff certainly have been keeping Chase and I busy the past couple of months.

I feel like we are finally getting in the swing of things, where I don't feel so overwhelmed from each day to the next.

Liam is on a better schedule, and I have them both napping at the same time.

Raughley is starting to potty train, and thanks to some peer pressure at school and from his friend Wyatt, it is going pretty well. A few wet pairs of underwear and crocodile tears to match make me sad that he has to go through such growing pains, but boy will I not be sorry to say goodbye to pull-ups size 6.

The attention that Raughley needed when Liam was first born is not so necessary, and wow does he LOVE his little brother.

Love this picture, they're in sync with each other already.

But oh Liam, if we could only get you to stop getting up at 2,4,6,8... in the morning.  It's hard to complain when this little smile greets you from inside the crib, and you're such an easy baby the other times of the day that it seems ungrateful to complain.

But a few nights full sleep would be such a good thing right about now.

But as they say, it won't last forever, and then you'll be three like Raughley  Captain Hook, and he'll be six, and Ill be waxing nostalgic about the sleepless nights and wet pants these two are currently putting me through.

Cook Out

We had dinner at George and Jenny's last weekend, and the theme of the night was definitely "babies", with four in our number.

A rare family photo that I asked Jenny to take.

How funny, Ann Parker is asleep in her carseat, but the rest of us had to hold each babies tiny little head so they wouldn't roll on top of each other.

Jenny cooked a huge meal for us, a run through for a Derm party she is throwing.  I'd say it will be a good party because the run through was great.  She and George were really good sports to put up with the madness of all those babies and toddlers.  We had such a good time.

The Regions

My Father in Law got to play in the Regions pro-am last Wednesday (Was it last Wednesday?  I'm so behind I can't remember- maybe two fridays ago...)  Anyway, he was lucky enough to play with this fellow.

People followed him all 18 holes handing his bodyguard hats, balls, t-shirts, napkins, etc to sign.  While watching the children stare at him in awe and be delighted when he signed their memorabilia was adorable and uplifting, watching the greedy adults hound him with handfuls of their future ebay sales was downright sick.

The crazy part of my day happened on hole 8 where I was walking to find my group, and a poor volunteer girl of about 21 got hit by a Tee shot.  A fast tee shot too. In the head. The girl hit the ground wailing, and her recovery put the tournament back a good 30 minutes.  She was okay though, we heard later.
Shoal Creek really looks beautiful.

Chase got to help his dad out, not as a caddy, but as an assistant I guess.
The pro is in the middle.  Apparently at the end of the round he got Coach to sign something as well.

We had quite a crowd out there in support.

By the end of the day we were quite exhausted, so I can't imagine how the golfers felt.  The course had emptied out and we were some of the last ones there, and it was nice and calm, like the calm before the storm of the big Regions weekend to come.
