10 Things I love about Raughley

Here are the top 10 things I love about little Raughley. (out of hundreds :)  )

This is a picture of him during his first week of life.

10. The way he sucks his lower lip (like he did when he was a newborn)
9. His who-hair, that still hasn't fallen out.
8.  The way he stands on his toes in his walker and holds his hands straight out and squeals with delight.
7. How he smiles whenever he hears mine or his daddy's voice.
6. When I hear him talking to himself in the mornings
5. How when I put him in the bed with me in the mornings he holds my face with his hands and presses his nose to mine and falls back asleep.
4. How he loves animals, particularly Bryant
3. The way he looks when he is asleep.
2. His laugh

1. How he loves to kiss your cheek (or smash his mouth and tongue onto your face and proceed to slobber all over you)

Halloween

Halloween was a huge success this year, if not a busy one.  We started the day with a playdate with my BWF friends and their babies, went on to Laura's house for a day party, trick or treated at my parents house, and finally, had a party at our house.  It was a long day, but R did great, and I think he even enjoyed wearing his Pooh costume.  Jennie and CT stayed with us this weekend, and their dog Murphy came to play with Bryant.  Boy did they play!  Bryant is currently sleeping for probably 24 hours to recup from all the wrestling he did this weekend.  And speaking of wrestling, check out the pics from the party.  I think the boys had a theme going...

School Days!

Deep in the hundred acre wood...
at story time at the library...
there lived a bear named Pooh.

Raughley has officially started school! (Well mothers day out, but we call it school). He goes two days a week from 10-2, and he has sign language and spanish class each week. I know language development is crucial at this time in his life, but it still cracks me up to think about all these babies in "class". Thursdays we also go to story time at the library, and this Thursday was particularly fun because the babies got to dress up in their costumes. Raughley loves his Pooh outfit!

Later today, I tried the sippy cup again with little R. This time, he liked it! The Dr. suggested we try the sippy cup with water or apple juice, and still leave the bottle for milk, but he hasn't wanted to drink out of it until today. It was a proud mommy moment!

Funny Eater

here is a funny video of Raughley eating his food. he is trying so hard to do things himself and gain some semblance of independence. I know it is frustrating for him!

In other news, so many good things are happening to my friends! Jeris and Jordan are moving Friday into their new house, Laura got a new job, Lindsay got engaged, and Adam and Emily are having a baby! Im so excited for everyones happiness!
