Before you groan and say.... one more beach pic I can't stand it- take a looksee below... Raughley got to meet someone pretty cool last time we were in Florida.  We hear he likes the island too, maybe we'll be seeing more of him???

This and That

Chase got me a new camera for Mother's Day! What a fun surprise from a sweet sweet husband.  

As with any new piece of technology, there is a learning curve, and I have realized I'll be worse before i get better at it, so bear with me.  

I have a great subject to practice on, especially when he loves to go to the zoo! (which is almost everyday now)

We got to go with his little friends last week, which was a blast.  

It was so hot though, imagine May in the 90s?  (As I type this it is in the 50's right now)

Strange May weather.  Anyway, I ramble, but I am so excited about my new toy and can't wait to use it more and more!

The Doctors Get Married

I am way behind, but two weekends ago some of our best friends got married after two years of engagement!  They were both in medical school, so differences in location and year in school prevented them from going ahead with their wedding plans.  So this wedding was a HUGE celebration!

We had so many BSC friends at the wedding, and it was a blast to get to spend time with everyone.  It truly felt like a moment from years ago, down in the Sigma Chi basement.  (Though much cleaner)

 The newly weds headed off to their honeymoon, and things got silly as they drove off.  I'll leave the rest to the pictures.  It was a fabulous night and we are so excited for George and Jenny Nelson!!!!

Working with What We've Got

First of all, look whose been figuring out her photoshop!  It's taken me forever, and it's very frustrating, especially since I am very organized and cannot figure out how to organize my files on Lightroom and Photoshop the way I would like.  Any suggestions?  

On to the fun part of the post...  Cooking with Chef Raughley!

After a somewhat rainy day, little man and I needed an activity, and batter seemed to be the next best thing to outside play.  It certainly kept little man busy, that is until we put the cupcakes in the oven and someone's patience went out the window. 

Raughley soon followed said patience and let all his energy out at once.  It was like Hurricane Raughley y'all, and this is a daily occurrence now.  All of a sudden the child can't sit still for a second.  I love to watch the bundle of energy erupt from his little bod, that is until I have to participate.  Then my 27 year old self is QUICKLY tired out (sad I know).  That's when completed warm cupcakes do the trick!

Weekend Happenings

The day started off just right...   Bright sunny sky and clear blue day.

Nothing like a trip to the park with friends to brighten it even more.  

We played peek a book with the tunnel, 

And climbed as high as the playset would allow.

These are the best of friends, and sometimes they even think alike!

Sweet friends, good times!

On to more sparkly matters, my dance studio's recital was last Sunday, and boy were the sequins out to shine!

We had a ball, and I must say, it was a really good recital.  

How precious are they?
