Foooooooood!!!

Maine was full of delicious food. Mostly, Lobster.  Lobster Rolls, lobster salad, lobster ravioli... yummy yummy lobster.  And the good news?  The stuff is dirt cheap up there.  like 3.00 a pound.  

So we ate and ate and ate lobsters.  

One night we had a treat, a cooking lesson!   

Chef Jonathan came by and taught us each part of a meal.  We had more fun learning new things and seeing who was the best.  

Naturally, Chase thought he won, but I think Carl's blueberry crumble took the cake. 

And then, there was more lobster.  

Even the little guys took a turn at it.

My Pirate

This kid is so funny.  Everyday he is singing, creating stories in his imagination, and telling me all about them.  His favorite thing to "be" lately is a pirate.  He goes looking for treasure on maps, digs up buried treasure, sings pirate songs from Peter Pan and Jake, and of course, wears an eyepatch.  

Seven

Little Man is 7 months old today.  wow how time flies.  

He is FINALLY sleeping 12 hours straight at night.  He eats 20-24 ounces a day, about 4 bottles, and 3-4 big boy meals.  He takes 3 naps, the biggest ones are in the morning, from 9-10, a cat nap after the second bottle, a big nap from 2-4, and another cat nap from 6-6:30 or so.  I see the two cat naps being dropped at some point.  He is still our mr. smiley.  When he is crying in the morning we can simply turn the light on and he will start smiling by the time we are by his crib.  He is sitting up unsupported unless he looks up or to the side, then he flops over.  He loves to clap his hands and feet together, loves to clap your cheeks if you are looking at him, and loves to eat his toes.  

And Raughley loves him.  Can't get enough.
