Patrick runs the half

First of all, I can't believe I have found the time to blog, what with a 10 day old baby at home and two toddler/preschoolers to keep up with.

But about 2 weeks before Marshall was born, we set out to IPC to watch Uncle Pat Pat run the half of the Mercedes Marathon.

We were so proud! The boys made signs with glitter, paint and stickers, and even baby Elle came to cheer on the runners.

It was so cool to watch hundreds of people run by, some dressed up in costumes even.

Liam has track in his future I think, because he spent most of the morning running up and down the grass, much to the runners amusement.

Soon, thanks to William's GPS tracking of Patrick, we set up to watch him run by.

And then, all of a sudden, there he was!  Liam, facing the wrong direction, did not see him at all, but that meant I got this awesome picture of them at the same time!

He finished the race, and we were so proud, congrats Uncle P!

Snowmageddon Part 2.

So two weeks after the first snow storm, Birmingham got yet another snow storm.

What are the odds?  This one shut us down for 3 days as well, although the snow didn't actually get here until the 2nd night.  We got 4-5 inches!

It started snowing around 7pm, and the high the next day was 48, so we knew it wouldn't' last long.

So around 9, Chase and I decided to get Raughley out of bed, and go outside and play in the snow.

I'm so glad we did.  He had a ball, after getting over the shock of being woken up and told to get dressed.  I'm sure he thought we were crazy.

He and Chase made a huge snowman, while I watched, trying to take pictures in the dark.

It was such a beautiful snow, and just like we thought, but the next afternoon, it was gone.

Liam did get a chance to play in it the next morning, and Chase stayed home from work until about 9:00 so he could participate.

After a snowball fight (mostly aimed at Bryant) we decided to call it a day, and headed in for snow ice cream and another day of movies.

While I love snow, I will be glad to see warm weather so we will not be so cooped up anymore!

A boy and his dog

I wish I could caption these, but alas, I am not funny enough to adequately describe this relationship.

You only need to look at the expression on Bryant's face to understand how he feels about all this wrestling.

But regardless of the "loving" he takes from Liam, he loves this little guy so much.

Marshall's Baby Sprinkle

My sweet sister in law and Jenny threw me a baby sprinkle a few weeks ago.  ( I kept it small in case you weren't invited- third baby boys don't need much)

I've always loved sprinkles at Olexa's so I was so excited to get to have one there!  Marshall (That's the name we picked out for him by the way) really enjoyed the cake.

In the mean time, I have been both put on bed rest and taken off two weeks later (Thank goodness!) so that Marshall can cook as long as possible.  But now that I'm 37.5 weeks, the doc feels like I am good to go any time, and can be scheduled for an induction next week.  So he will be here before we know it!

Hopefully we will make it through winter storm Pax first, or whatever they are calling this storm.   But we can't wait to meet the little guy!
