8 Months

Liam turned Eight Months Old yesterday!  I can't believe how fast time has flown by.  He is finally able to sit really well by himself, which is such a relief to his big brother, who is more than ready to welcome him into the fold of play time.

Particularly this creation of imagination, the stroller boat.

It came complete with one paddle, some fish and a fishing pole, and provided Hours of distraction.

Liam is full of personality, is quite the flirt with his blue eyes and addicting smile, and has started talking, saying things like "bababa", and sometimes I think I hear Ma, Ra and Da.  Wishful thinking I'm sure, but who knows!

He is finally sleeping 12 hours during the night. (Except for last night where he woke up at midnight and wanted food.)  He's eating 20-24 ounces a day, FOUR whopping servings of solids, and working on finger foods like cheese and bread.

When he sits up he tends to bend forward to all fours and I think he'll be bear crawling very soon.  Watch out world, here he comes!

Sunday Soccer

Sunday was a big day in Raughley's little life.  Sunday Soccer began.

We showed up to the field, he got assigned to his team, was given his jersey, (orange, a very cool color) and was off to his field.

He started strong,

all technique, serious concentration,

and great execution!

Then, things started to go downhill.  The energy began to flag.

He kept going, mustering up all he could.

What a great little athlete he's going to be!

And so proud of himself.

Then the heat really set in and he was through.

He was through, just in time for the team huddle and the game.

So he was a great cheerleader for the first half, and when it was his turn to go in he gave it his best shot!

But being 3 is really hard, especially when you have to play soccer.

All in all I think he had a good time though, and maybe next week it wont be so hot, and we won't get there 15 minutes early.

Go team orange!

UA v WK

Saturday was Raughley's one (maybe he'll get to go to another one, not sure yet) game of the 2012 football season.  He had a great time I think, except for when he got too hot and had a little pout session.

But all's well that ends well, and once he got into the spirit of the day he took off running.  And posing.  Literally.

Especially when he got to play a little pigskin with JC.

We had a good time at the tailgate, and then we headed over to Richard's RV for some more fun.  I forgot to take any pictures of Ra Ra and the big bus!

He really enjoyed the game, but I can't believe this was almost a whole year since his last visit to B-D.

We sat in our seats for a hot second, and then headed to the fence to check out the action first hand.

Jenny and George sat with us, and were great sports for following us around and then leaving during the second half.

We even spotted some friends in the crowd!

Bath Man

And one to compare...(they're around the same age in these pictures)

First Day of Preschool

Last Tuesday was such a big day in the Wise Household.  Someone started official Preschool!  3-K Ladies and Gents.  He was so excited about it until we pulled into the parking lot. Then the nerves set in.

Luckily his friend Joshua showed up at the perfect time and made the transition a little easier.

I did not manage to get a smile out of him for the camera though.

But once inside the door we found his seat, got him coloring, and he was ready for me to go.

I think at that point I was the only sad one in the room.

The next day was Liam's first day of MDO.

I managed to get some smiles out of him!
