Birmingham Belles

My Cousin was presented at Birmingham Belles two weeks ago.

Arlington was as beautiful as ever.

The dresses were stunning.  Yards and Yards of fabrics, tulle, ribbon, lace.

My cousin wore my dress that my mom made over 10 years ago.  (Scary)

She picked an elegant pink for her trim.  When I was presented I wanted green like Scarlett O'hara.  In fact, the dress is designed to look like one of her dresses.
(Yes this had red trim, but somewhere there is green.)

Harper's Dad escorted her out.

Then came our babysitter and neighbor, Laura Middlebrook.  Doesn't she look so beautiful too!

Besides being incredibly hot, it was a fun even to attend, and so neat to see my dress being worn again!

Game Time

We went to the spring game for Ra Ra's birthday.

That was what he wanted to do on the day he turned 3.

Almost the whole family was there, but we really missed May May and Uncle Carl.

It was cool for the guys and FE to go check out the players on the field before the game.

It's hard to believe these guys are 18 years old!

Raughley told us last night he wants to be a football player when he grows up.

Either that or a pirate.

But no matter what he becomes I will always remember the day he turned three and we went to the football game!

I can't believe it's been three years since you were born big man!  You were so brave seeing Big Al, and watching the game like a big boy.  I know you may not remember this day years down the road but we all won't forget it!

Birthday Boy

Someone turned three two weeks ago and I am just now blogging about it!

His big boy present was a playhouse pirate ship for the back yard.

And let me tell you in the past 10 days since he has become the proud pirate captain of this boat he has spent HOURS playing on it, under it, around it, and through it.

He's even recruited Liam to be his first mate.

He seems pretty happy to be included!

Watch out because Captain Raughley will make you swab the decks and row the oars.  It's a rough life being a pirate under this sea captain.
